Overview

Bacione Pasta Shop is a charming little gem tucked away at 4b Cedar St in Bronxville, NY. This intimate pasta spot specializes in fresh pasta made daily, offering a truly authentic Italian experience that evokes memories of bustling streetsides in Venice. The restaurant’s focus is clear — simple, high-quality pasta crafted with care, perfect for both quick bites and take-home meals.

The menu centers around fresh pasta where you can customize your dish by choosing your preferred cut and sauce. Highlights such as tagliatelle with pesto, pappardelle with pomodoro, and ravioli filled with rich sausage sauce showcase the vibrant flavors and artisanal techniques. For those mindful of diet, Bacione also offers fresh, gluten-free pasta options, broadening its appeal and maintaining freshness without compromise.

Inside, the space is minimalistic with just a handful of tables — designed primarily for grab-and-go but welcoming enough for a casual sit-down. The setting keeps the focus firmly on the food, with friendly staff often preparing pasta as you dine, adding a touch of theater to the experience. It’s ideal for locals seeking an authentic, quick Italian meal or visitors passing through who crave well-made pasta without the fuss.

Customers repeatedly praise the balance of flavors, from tender meatballs melting in pomodoro sauce to delicate butter sage accompanying fettuccine. The freshness of the homemade mozzarella and thoughtfully composed appetizers like the arugula salad with walnuts and gorgonzola elevate the meal beyond standard fast casual. Desserts, too, carry the same care, with classics such as panna cotta and tiramisu rounding out the menu.

While the pricing leans slightly towards the premium side for a small establishment with limited seating, the quality and authenticity justify the spend for many patrons. Some note the bustling nature of the shop during peak times and the absence of restrooms, which reflects its primary design as a takeaway venue. However, these minor inconveniences are offset by the warm service and the upscale yet approachable pasta craftsmanship.

For anyone in or near Bronxville looking for fresh, handmade pasta with thoughtfully curated sauces and a friendly atmosphere, Bacione Pasta Shop offers a compelling destination. It bridges quick convenience with genuine artisan cooking, making it a noteworthy addition to the local dining scene and a must-try for pasta enthusiasts.

Wow! A friend and I were headed back to La Guardia after Rhinebeck and decided we needed PASTA. While their menu is simple, the food is extremely flavorful. You choose what pasta shape, sauce, and meat/cheese. I had the radiatori with pomodoro and meatball. The meatball were tender and I dream of ordering them with sauce and mozzarella. The pomodora was light with a great depth of flavor. My friend chose fettuccini with butter sage and chicken. He ate it before I could try any. Next time he says he would get the pumpkin ravioli. The staff were extremely friendly and very kind. They were making pasta while we ate and you can order it by the pound to take home. Overall, what a lovely place that I highly recommend for simple and authentic pasta. Well done!

I got an amazingly priced dish with fresh homemade pasta. Not much seating but next door they are opening a new sit down pasta restaurant.

I stumbled upon this establishment while looking for a quick Italian eatery. It's a small place with three indoor tables, enough to host six people. The pasta is delicious but a bit pricey. I spent $30 for one dish and a beverage. I hope my next experience is better. Looking forward to trying different sauces. There are no restrooms on site, but you can take items to go and enjoy the food at work or home. During my visit, a gentleman’s kids were causing chaos in the tiny establishment. They spilled water, knocked down condiments, and touched the bagged mozzarella. I was splashed with water, and neither the gentleman nor the restaurant apologized for getting my pants wet. I didn’t say anything since I just wanted to consume my meal and leave as quickly as possible.

What a little hidden GEM this place is! I was driving back from upstate and craved fresh pasta… I stopped off at Bacione for a quick bite. There are a couple tables inside (very small place with the intention of to-go) and was greeted by the cashier with a warm smile. There’s a display case with a plethora of different fresh pasta choices, and some additional meals to go. I selected papardelle pasta and on the menu board, there are several sauces to choose. You can add on additional proteins or cheeses. I selected pomodoro. There was a small group of 5 people sitting and an extra 2-top available. I sat to eat there. The cashier served my gorgeous papardelle pomodoro dining plateware as I sat and enjoyed my meal. I knew my hubs would be jealous, so I ordered pesto fettuccine with chicken, and I ordered ravioli to go. Everything was delicious! Super fresh. Everything very clean inside. It reminded me of a little pasta shop near a university in Venice where students ate delicious fresh pastas to go out of Chinese take out containers. I didn’t notice until I left, there are specials on the sidewalk board with entrees like salmon, and sweet potato gnocchi… loved it here! Will be back in the future on the way up!

This is the local pasta shop of my dreams. Really friendly service and an incredibly good product. We usually get pasta by the pound but they have tables to eat as well. They have the best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had, it’s fresh frozen and beats any other gluten free options I’ve tried. & don’t sleep on the bombolini, they’re really good! Photo is of bucatini I bought and made at home.

It’s a small storefront but the pasta is fantastic and very reasonably priced. There are both regular specials as well as the option to make your own pasta dish. It’s hard to go wrong.

Excellent place! We just were walking around and needed to find a quick bite and randomly found this shop. It has a bout 3 tables for two and apparently is mostly a place to get fresh pasta to take out. I have to be Gluten Free and they had THE BEST pasta I have ever had since I found out about being Celiac. It had the excellent flavor and texture, absorbed the flavor of the sauce (that you can pick and made fresh there) and covered in cheese! I had given up on having pasta ever again, but this place made me a believer!
